“How many languages do I have to learn to understand at least a little in this country?” asks one of the characters in the series made by the former Slovak RTVS (Radio and Television of Slovakia) that reminds us how multicultural country Slovakia is today. In this feel-good comedy, we meet the characters of activists for the equalisation of the Hungarian language in Slovakia, a female Instagram influencer looking for a home, a Slovak woman with Iranian roots and Atti – a young Slovak Hungarian man who will have to move from his native village to the concrete jungle of the capital Bratislava. The series interweaves their stories with humour and an emphasis on learning Slovakia as many of us do not know it. A country full of people of different backgrounds is portrayed in the series as a complicated but pleasant place to live – if you take the trouble to really get to know the people here.
