This chilling, focused drama, based on a script by Štěpán Hulík, introduces us to the impenetrable figure of a nurse who is notorious for the heartlessness with which she treats her patients and her own daughter. When a suspicious death occurs in the hospital, she is accused of murdering a helpless patient. The trilogy inspired by dozens of real cases takes into account the social reality of a contemporary Czech small town, tells the story of the media’s influence on public opinion and shows how complicated the search for truth can be. The third ambitious project by the writer of Burning Bush and Wasteland, directed by the talented Slovak director Michal Blaško, is again a study of one place and specific characters.
