Q&A’s after the screening with producer Johannes Åhlund.
Anna, a student with a big heart, is attracted to a charismatic young minister who offers an alternative way of life for those who have not fallen under the spell of career building and financial security. After meeting him and his circle of acquaintances in person, she accepts the offer to become a nanny right in his home in the village of Knutby. But even at the beginning we do not see an idyll in this adaptation of a book that recounts the history of an infamous Christian community. More or less visible signs lead us straight into the abyss. A hundred or so religious fanatics from villages in southern Sweden are still remembered here. Thanks to the miniseries brilliantly directed by Goran Kapetanovic, with a great cast led by Aliette Opheim (Caliphate, The Dark Heart), we too can understand the seemingly incomprehensible, crazy events that really happened here.
