Vinca Wiedemann (DEN)
Vinca Wiedemann graduated as a film editor from National Film School of Denmark but she soon moved into script development. As film commissioner at the Danish Film Institute, she was responsible for granting development and production support to numerous feature films, and she was Director of The National Film School of Denmark for five years. Vinca is an internationally esteemed script consultant and story supervisor for directors, e.g. Lars von Trier collaborated closely with her on his scripts for Melancholia and Nymphomaniac, and currently she works with Thomas Vinterberg (The Celebration and Last Round) on his new tv-series. She serves internationally as member of think tanks, film juries, keynote speaker and as a lecturer on artistic collaboration and issues linked to innovation, film education and film policy.
Bert Beyens (BEL)
Filmmaker and former director of the Belgian Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound
Bert Beyens studied film directing in Brussels Belgium at RITCS. He worked 15 years as writer-director for film and television before becoming a fulltime teacher in 1994.
In 2001, Bert Beyens was appointed director of RITCS (now: Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound, School of Arts Erasmus University College) and served 3 mandates of four years (2001-2013).
From 2014 until 2018 he was President of GEECT (European Film Schools organization) and on the Executive Council of CILECT (World Organization of Film Schools).
Between 2005 and 2009 he was on the board of VAF (Flemish Film Fund).
He was member of the VAF advisory commission for documentary tv-series (2011-2013). Currently he is in the VAF commission for Fiction Features.
In 1988 he made the award-winning feature length documentary film Jan Cox A Painter’s Odyssey, (co-writer-director Pierre De Clercq).
Bert Beyens is a member of the European Film Academy (EFA).
Cia Edström (SWE)
Cia Edström is the Head of Industry at Göteborg Film Festival since 2005. In this role, Edström heads the drama series conference and co-financing event TV Drama Vision, the Nordic Film Market, as well as the yearly Nostradamus report about the future of the screen industries. Cia has a background as a producer and editor of film and cultural events at the Swedish Film Institute, Culture Capital of Stockholm among other organizations.
Mischa Zickler (AUT)
After a few years in radio as producer and writer, Mischa Zickler began working in television – a job that took him to several stations in different countries. Initially a format developer at Austria’s ORF, Mischa later worked for RTL, ProSieben and SAT.1 as a format strategist and head of entertainment. Mischa has been developing and writing TV fiction since 2013 with a focus on episodic television series.
Leif Holst Jensen (NOR)
Leif Holst Jensen is currently CEO of Oslo Film Fund.
He is former Dean/Head of department of Westerdals institute of film and media, Kristiania University College. Previously, he was a General secretary of Norwegian Film, TV and Games Producers Association, Head of Arts and Culture of Danish Broadcasting Company and DR, Program director of Metropol TV and also served in several positions in NRK, Norwegian Broadcasting Company, as Head of Youth department and regional office in Northern Norway. Practice as journalist, director, producer and executive director and producer including more than 200 shows/projects.
Joël Bassaget (FRA)
Partner researcher at University of Wollongong („Valuing web series“) and freelance consultant in shortform production and distribution strategies. Lives in Berlin. Writes scripts for animated TV shows since 1989 and is a bigtime shortform aficionado. Founded in 2001 the very first (and shortlived) European portal for Flash animated indie cartoons. In 2014, he founded the blog “Web Series Mag” for the online version of French newspaper Liberation. The following year, he founded of the Web Series World Cup. Author of “Le guide des Webséries – la nouvelle vague” and co-author with Meredith Burkholder of “Short Narrative & Serialized, a complete guide of the web series phenomenon”.
