When in October 1981 the corpse of a woman strangled with stockings is found near the Motol stream, the Prague murder investigation team, led by the legendary Jiří Markovič, suspects it is dealing with a sexual deviant. However, no one knows at the time that this is just the beginning of the story of the investigation into one of the most notorious Czechoslovak murderers, who made history with his deranged behaviour and extraordinary cruelty. Not even Markovič himself, known for his sense of humour and human behaviour towards even the worst murderers. The Czech true-crime reconstructs the investigations of the elite police officers of the time, and thus comes up with a local contribution to an extremely popular genre. It introduces us to the subject of psychological profiling of serial killers and offers an unusual insight into Czechoslovakia in the 1980s.
