This international program is designed for writers, directors, producers or solo creators who are ready to dive into the world of episodic storytelling for Millennial and Gen Z audiences.

The program kicks off with an online pre-training in mid-September and culminates in an intensive workshop held September 22–28, 2025 in Brno, right at the heart of the Serial Killer Festival. Participants will develop their series concepts from the ground up — outlining pilot scripts and season arcs, exploring structure and tone, and sharpening their creative vision.

Through expert guidance, group work, writing sessions, and individual consultations, creators will gain hands-on experience while also accessing the exclusive industry platform of the TV Days conference.

The workshop is led by Kirsten Loose, a German writer (Habibi Baba Boom / Disney+,  Feelings / ZDF), script consultant and commissioning editor, and Hyppe Salmi, a Finnish executive producer in Yle’s Drama department. Together, they offer an effective and comprehensive blend of creative, editorial, and production insight into the young adult space.

Focus Young Adults is open to early-stage projects and welcomes a wide range of genres. The training also includes insight into the young adult market, as well as practical strategies for financing and distribution — helping participants position their work for the international scene.

Applications are open May 27 – July 15, 2025.
The program fee is 700 EUR per participant.
