Maria is a former model who has decided to quit her profession. She lives in a colourful but not exactly affluent neighbourhood in Madrid, where she helps an elderly female flower store owner keep her shop alive. She is almost thirty and has a troubled relationship with sex, her own body and probably drugs too. How come she is still looking for her place in the world? And why does the world around her let her know that it sees her mainly as an attractive beauty whose existence fuels fantasies? An uncompromising look at the reality of a generation of young Spanish women living through a time of unemployment and persistent traditional ideas of how women should behave and look.
