Gilles De Schryver is a Belgian film and theatre actor, writer and producer, and is managing partner and co-founder of De Wereldvrede. Series ‘Bevergem’, his first production as an independent producer, became a tremendous national success. The series received multiple television awards and caught the spotlight even abroad, with selections for the French “Séries Mania” and the film festivals of Rotterdam and Utrecht. After feature film ‘Cargo’ selected for the film festival in San Sebastian and the BFI in London, Gilles found himself at the wheel of De Wereldvrede’s first international co-production ‘War of the Worlds’ in 2018. In 2020, series ‘Albatros’ was released and his short film ‘Stephanie’ was selected for the Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
