Martina graduated from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). During her studies, she completed two internships in France, one at Villa Arson in Nice and another at Partizan Film Production in Paris. In addition to film production, she worked for the Czech Film Centre, the French Film Festival in Prague, and the legendary multicultural center MeetFactory. She also curates the film program for the multi-genre Festival Spectaculare.
For the past six years, she has been part of the film production company Punk Film. Together with producer Martin Hůlovec, she produced the feature-length documentary My Father Antonín Kratochvíl, and with producer Ondřej Beránek, the feature film The Last Race.
Currently, she is developing the feature film Antonie with Rozálie Kohoutová, which has been recently awarded the Eurimages Co-production Development Award and the Rotterdam Lab Award at KVIFF Industry Days. Together with Rozálie, she is also working on a feature-length hybrid film You Never Just Walk Away, which addresses the issue of domestic violence. Furthermore, she is developing a Gen Z series G.O.A.T. for Czech Television with directors Adina Šulcová and Viktorie Novotná, and she is completing the new experimental dance film 1+1, directed by Tereza Vejvodová, which is currently in post-production.
