Teodora Markova
Film and TV Writer & Producer , Bulgaria

Teodora is a film and TV writer and producer, based in Sofia. She has created and co-written some of the most successful TV series in Bulgaria, among which is the internationally acclaimed crime show Under Cover (2011), nominated for best foreign series at Monte Carlo Television Festival and distributed in 187 territories. Her mini-series Father’s Day (2019) was in the official selection of Série Series Fontainebleau and Venice International Film Festival – Gap Financing Market.

Teodora’s first feature script Bubblegum (2017) won the Best Screenplay Award at the Bulgarian National Festival Golden Rose. It was followed by Letters from Antarctica (2019), developed with the support of ScripTeast, and another two feature films in post-production.

Her newest series project in development Gold War has received the Paramount Plus Award at MIA Market 2021 in Rome, and was also a finalist of the HYPEWRITER TV pitch forum and Tallinn TV Beats Co-Financing Market. She has co-created and co-written the mini-series Soviet Jeans, produced by the Latvian TASSE Film, funded by the Latvian Film Center and GO3 Latvia.
