Gillian Rose

Gillian joined Dublin-based Soho Moon in 2024 as Executive Producer. Soho Moon produces drama and documentaries, mostly filmed in Europe, that it produces and develops with international partners.  

She is US-based and worked previously as a Senior Vice President in TV/Film Distribution for NBCUniversal in New York with a focus on the US market, and particularly the SVOD players.  This included pre-sales and finding partners for drama coming from Europe and Australia. From 2016-2019 she held a similar role for SKY and before that was Managing Director of PBS Distribution doing mostly Acquisitions. Her career began in London as a journalist writing about television and her work in the US has included Acquisitions, Sales and Co-Productions, Development and Production.

Gillian is a two-term Chair of BAFTA New York; is on the International Board of Radio Workshop, a South African-based non-profit that trains young people in radio and podcasting across Sub-Saharan Africa and is President/Founder of The Rosemary Pencil Foundation, a non-profit that supports educational initiatives and scholarships in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
