Jakub Mahler

Jakub is a producer of documentaries and dramas aimed at young audiences. As a creative producer for Czech Television, he has been involved in the production of a number of documentary films (including The Art of Dissent, Karel Kovanda: The Struggle for the Conscience of the World, Photophobia) and documentary series (Rapstory, Czechs on Drugs, Skateboards and Shovels). 

As a dramaturge, Jakub has often focused on international television co-productions, and his projects include the documentary series Odsun – Vertreibung, Afghanistan: 40 Years of War and title Tribunal. As a producer, he also focuses on dramatic productions, most often aimed at younger target groups. 

In 2024, he completed the series Adikts (directed by Adam Sedlák) and No Big Deal (directed by Jan Vejnar). As an independent producer, he was involved in the successful comedy Bear with Us (2017) and the currently produced family film Můry (2025) – both directed by Tomáš Pavlíček.
