Gilles De Schryver is a Belgian film and theatre actor, writer, and producer, and is managing partner and co-founder of De Wereldvrede. Series Bevergem, his first production as an independent producer, became a tremendous national success. The series received multiple television awards and caught the spotlight even abroad, with selections for the French Series Mania and the film festivals of Rotterdam and Utrecht. After the feature film Cargo selected for the film festival in San Sebastian and the BFI in London, Gilles found himself at the wheel of De Wereldvrede’s first international co-production War of the Worlds in 2018. In 2020, series Albatros was released, and his short film Stephanie was selected for the Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
