This presentation will highlight the key findings from a quantitative survey conducted in May 2024 by the Association of Audiovisual Producers, focusing on the experiences of professionals in the audiovisual industry balancing their careers with childcare responsibilities. The survey, completed by 123 respondents (64% women and 36% men), offers insights into the challenges and dynamics of parenthood in film and television professionals such as producers, directors, screenwriters, and editors.
Participants were drawn from a contact database, with data collected through Google Forms. The survey reflects a diverse range of age groups, with 40% of respondents aged 30-39 and 33% aged 40-49.
The analysis will explore how respondents manage the demands of their professional roles alongside the responsibilities of raising children, offering a deeper understanding of gender-specific experiences and the broader impact of parenthood on career trajectories within the Czech audiovisual industry.
This study provides a critical look at the intersection of family life and professional commitment in a fast-paced, highly demanding sector.
