Barbora used to take a camera and make very serious political documentaries. She has always wanted to save the world. From there, it was a straight way to absurd comedy. So now, she is making the Slavic-Science series. Barbora orthodoxly believes that reality needs poetry. She tries to live accordingly.

Barbora studied film and fine arts in Bratislava, Valencia and New York. Her feature doc Never Happened premiered at IFF Warsaw in 2019. Then she made a doc trilogy and transmedia project called Ask at Home 68/89/93. Her last short film about death called Strigov, premiered in Krakow IFF and DocAviv in 2022. 

Barbora is a Berlinale Talents, IDFA Academy, Zurich Film Academy, Nipkow alumna, and got some artists‘ residencies and her films won a few awards.
