Michael Bütow

Michael is chief executive producer – Fiction at TV Nova/CME. Since he joined the television group in 2016, he has launched several new scripted formats in Czechia, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria. Many of his projects are adaptations, as for example of the German crime series Soko Leipzi, the Belgian crime series Professor T, the German RomCom Der Lehrer/The Teacher, the Finnish medical Nurses, The Turkish Series Ezel or the Argentinian Telenovela Daddies/Senores Papis. Michael previously gained international experience as head of production for RTL Group in Croatia and Russia. For many years, he was managing production companies and worked as executive producer in Germany. In the beginning of his career, Michael was chief commissioning editor for German private networks RTLII and later ProSieben. Michael holds a degree in Production and media science from HFF film academy in Munich.
