Miroslav Vlček

Miroslav is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at Ostrava University. His research centres on sustainability in media and local journalism. He teaches courses in media theory, media industry research, and screenwriting. 

Miroslav is leading the development of the accreditation for the journalism program at Ostrava University, which will be the first professionally oriented journalism program in the Czech Republic. 

In his Ph.D. research, he examined the production and financing of Slovak documentary films in the context of state funding and has published several articles on the subject.
