Robert is a filmmaker and theatre director. He studied film at Masaryk University and for fourteen years, he has been making and directing short and medium-length fiction films, many of which won awards at Czech festivals such as Brněnská 16, Černá věž, Mladá kamera, Aerokraťas and others. Since 2010 he has also been writing and staging theatrical plays. He authored five plays that have been performed in theatres in Brno, Karviná and Nechanice. His medium-length parody title Vaginator: Dawn of the Bitches premiered in 2018. The film has been screened many times in Czech cities including Prague and Brno, featured at the Festival otrlého diváka and was also shown at the Transilvania International Film Festival in Romania. In the same year, he started teaching directing and acting and participated in the filming of the Romani sitcom Miri fajta. Robert Vrba has also worked in Brno regional television and closely cooperated with the Brno House of Arts and the Moravian Museum.
